During a project during the semester we were to take a song and take a line from it to create artwork from it. The catch was we couldn’t base it off of the music video or album art. Hozier had just released his newest album and ‘Abstract’ spoke to me. The meaning of abstract is existing in thought or as an idea but not having a physical or concrete existence. The second title ‘Psychopomp’ means a guide of souls to the place of the dead. When combined i had the image of the underworld in a stasis of abstract memory, guiding souls through their former life.
